BABI is a non profit organization dedicated to establishing improvement in health and population outcomes throughout the minority populations of African-Americans, Blacks and all minority populations.

BABI COVID-19 Goals

The safety and mental health first Aid of our citizens is very important. Sharing holistic cultural awareness to the community to assist with the public health crisis. The acknowledgement and remembrance of victims of COVID-19 in Macon County and the world. 

Assisting in developing supportive and Authentic Collaborative Communication between all task forces and COVID-19 related activities from local community citizens, Tuskegee University, local government, churches, and community organizations along with the help of the youths guiding us through social media. 

The BABI PROGRAM was born out of the increasing concern of Mrs. Lennora Mutiah Pierrot, a mother of eight who took a particular interest in the mental, physical, and spiritual health and well-being of new and young mothers. Mrs. Pierrot’s desire to share her life experience and knowledge of pregnancy, labor, parenting, and good nutrition lead her to form Bibs and Blankets International, Inc. (BABI), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose founding goal was to effect positive change for young women and girls by providing them with the mental, physical, and spiritual resources they need while promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

BABI's services have now expanded to focus on supportive cultural Community needs. Educational Programs: MHFA-Mental Health Aid First, Drug Prevention Education, Arts and Music programs,  Health Advocacy, Health Promotion, Food Pantry, are some of the programs which assist BABI in building capacity for a higher quality of life for it's citizens. BABI is on the move with Collaborative efforts. With the appropriate access BABI is moving forward to continue  to effect each community it serves with positive outcomes for minorities and the larger community.
